Hi ))
Yes, this is a pretty common issue on VW/Audi 2.0L engines. Typical symptoms are rough idle, hissing/vacuum leak sounds, check engine light, and sometimes reduced power. In many cases, replacing the membrane fixes it if the housing is still in good shape, but if the valve body is cracked or heavily worn, the full assembly is usually the safer long-term option. I’d recommend checking KLIFEX https://klifex.net/products/intake-manifold-vacuum-valve-membrane-vw-audi-2-0l-06l133201et-06l133201bb  — they often have reliable intake and vacuum system parts for VW/Audi, and it’s easier to compare membrane kits vs complete assemblies there. Installation is usually straightforward, just be careful with seals and connections.

Hi everyone 👋

I’m currently looking for information about the intake manifold vacuum valve membrane for VW / Audi 2.0L engines.

Has anyone here replaced this membrane before? What symptoms did you notice before replacement (rough idle, vacuum leaks, check engine light, power loss), and did changing it solve the issue? Also, is it better to replace just the membrane or the entire valve assembly? Any trusted brands or tips for installation would really help.
