This is what I have found on the Torvill side of the family -- If this looks familiar to any one please let me know   

Descendants of George Torvill:

George Torvill  son of George Torvill  and Sarah Sallabank  was born Q 1870

in Huntington, Yorkshire1 and died  1941 in Basford Registration District 2 aged 70.

Noted events in his life were:

• He worked as a railway shunter at the time of the census in April 1891. He was then living at 200 Queens

Road, Beeston, Notts with his wife and five children.

George married Florence Emily King  daughter of William King  and

Sarah  on 1 Jul 1899 in Hucknall Torkard (St Marys), Notts.4 Florence was born circa 1879 in

Ibstock, Leics5 and died  1942 in Basford Registration District6 aged 63. They had eight children:

George, Florence Gertrude, Walter, Cyril, Doris May, Evelyn, Elsie and Leonard.

George Torvill  was born  1899 in Hucknall Torkard, Notts.7

Florence Gertrude Torvill  was born circa 1903 in Nottingham.8

Florence married John Arthur Cutler  on 9 Apr 1927 in Beeston Parish

Church, Notts.9

Walter Torvill was born circa 1903 in Nottingham.8

Cyril Torvill  was born on 21 Oct 1903 in Nottingham10 and died in Nov 1989 in Basford

Registration District11 aged 86.

Doris May Torvill  was born  1905 in Dunkirk, Notts.12

Doris married William Davenport  on 8 Oct 1927 in Beeston Parish Church,

Notts.9

Evelyn Torvill  was born  1912 in Basford Registration District.

Elsie Torvill  was born on 22 Mar 1916 in Basford Registration District13 and died Q4 1980 in

Basford Registration District 14 aged 64.

Elsie married Harry Oliver  1937 in Basford Registration District. 15 They

had two children: Sylvia and John.

Sylvia Oliver  was born  1937 in Beeston, Notts.16

John Oliver was born 1946 in Basford Registration District.17

Leonard Torvill was born  1917 in Basford Registration District18 and died Q4 1918 in

Basford Registration District19 aged 1. He never married and had no children.
