Hi Carole, Thanks for reaching out, all the way from Australia! Nice to meet you :) We're both in "the colonies", but so far apart.
Is the Thomas Oliver you mention the son of Richard Barrett Oliver? I don't yet know of a daughter Caroline, so look forward to learning from anything you can send my way.
I am also related to Richard Barrett Oliver through my Grandmother Caroline Oliver daughter of Thomas Oliver. I don't have the details readily on hand at the moment but I will get their file down with dates and events to send to you. My family migrated to Australia in 1923. I live in Armstrong Creek a suburb of Geelong located 1 hour from Melbourne, Victoria.
Great to welcome you to the Oliver Family message board here!
Much like your own website I'm sure, the message board here has been so useful for helping connect different descendants and family members.
I will start a new thread for Frances Fanny Boorman nee Oliver where we can post what we know so far and hopefully it will be another option for descendants of Fanny to come find us!
Richard Barrett Oliver (1843-1916) had a daughter Frances "Fanny" Oliver (1887-1952) who married my husband Terry's great-uncle Albert Sidney Boorman in 1910 in Victoria BC Canada, where we live. Hoping to connect with their descendants and anyone with information on this branch.
