I was lucky enough to meet Ernest's Poc0ck's daughter a few years back and discovered that Ernest was a keen amateur local historian and a founder member of the Clanfield Historical Society - he wrote a book called 'The History of Clanfield' which I also discovered a copy of in the local library.
Your connection is of course that Ernest's grandmother was Lily Selina Austin nee Oliver, sister to Mariam Maisey nee Oliver from your own line, so both you and Ernest go back to Albert and Hannah and that 'Fantastic Family Photograph' here http://www.oliverfamilyhistory.co.uk/v4/stories/albert-oliver-stonesfield-family-photograph.htm, indeed, I would suggest picture 5 is Lily and both Tom and Lily are in picture 8.
I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon on Wednesday walking round the grounds of Friars Court, Clanfield. I don't know if anyone knows the connection to the Po**** family. Ernest William Po****, the son of Allen William Po**** and Maud Eveline Austin, married Joan Willmer of Friars Court. I got talking to the ladies of the village who were enjoying a cream tea and they knew Ernest's sister Jean Po**** very well. Some of the ladies were living in properties where the Po****s lived previously such as Yew Tree Farm. I attach some photos in my possession of the family.
