Ah, that's great, glad you found Billy's interview, hope you enjoy listening to it.
There is another thread here on the messageboard that will give you a good view back a couple of generations from Dempsey and then down through the various branches that descend - you may have found it already, but I won't direct you to it just in case you and your daughter want the fun of doing the research yourselves.
My first connection with this line was through Billy's son Clive who came along to the Oliver Family History Day in 2011, then in 2014 Billy himself came, as did Clive again and another of Billy's daughters. Billy's sister Mary also came to the very first one in 2010 with her daughter.
That would be lovely to see those scans if you would be happy to upload - if you need any help or have any issues uploading just let me know.
I did see this last night and we're going to listen on Sunday. I met him a few times and last saw him at Chrissie's funeral in 1990.
I have some scanned photos from the 1920's, 30's and 40's - if you'd like me to upload them, then please let me know. Some of them could be of Chrissie's side but there's a portrait of "Dempsey" from possibly the 1920's. I also have a more recent one from a family gathering in 1988, which shows Chrissie with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

That is lovely to know that the website has put a smile on your daughters face, though I do understand how there is so much here it could be quite overwhelming at first, so please take your time and just enjoy the discovery.
I wonder if you have already found the below page on the website here, and if not, if I may I would certainly like to point you to it as I think it's something quite special and very relevant to you and your line - it's an interview with Dempsey's son Billy where he tells us all about growing up in Stonesfield in the 1930's/1940's - so I'm pleased we can you give a sense of oral history on the Oliver side of the family here also.
Ernest ("Dempsey") is indeed my daughter's Great Grandad and her Grandmother was Sarah, although she was known as "Ann". I've always told her all I can about her family in Stonesfield and so it's wonderful that this site exists, as it gives her a much fuller picture. I'm not an Oliver and I've never lived in Oxfordshire, so my knowledge is incredibly limited. This website has put a huge smile on her face and to be honest, she's a little overwhelmed (in a positive way) by the sheer amount of facts here and by the fact that there's a site dedicated to her family
She's very accustomed to the strong oral-history tradition in my family and has watched her maternal Ancestry trees growing; we're even blessed enough to have had a book written about my paternal family tree from 1720. However she needed to know more about the paternal side of her family and so huge thanks for all the work that you guys do here. I can see that 2016 is going to be a very interesting time for her, having discovered this amazing source of Oliver facts.

So pleased that you found the website here, and joined the messageboard here and posted a message, thank you!
I do know of an Ernest William Oliver within the tree, quite close to my own line in fact, and I'm wondering if this might be your Ernest? (also known as 'Dempsey')
I've been putting together my eldest daughter's "Oliver" family tree on Ancestry for the last two weeks but I should mention that I married into the family. I was surfing this evening and decided to try and find an image of Combe Feast, having explained to her previously about the local traditions in and around Stonesfield. I did a complete double-take when I spotted her Great-Grandfather's face amongst the photographs that came up in the search - he's Ernest William Oliver. I saw the Oliver Family History website address emblazoned across the images and so here we both are
We'd be really interested in hearing about future Oliver Family History Days, so please could you keep us posted?
