Whilst over in Stonesfield churchyard just recently I spotted that a gravestone of what would be a Great-Great-Aunt and Uncle of mine (so not a direct line) had a few weeds on it and some foliage that have turned brown and died.
I was tempted to pull up the weeds and do a general little tidy up of the grave area.
But I didn't as to be honest I wasn't sure if that would be an acceptable thing to do, with me not be a direct descendant and knowing that a daughter of the couple is still alive, although, my intentions would of course be to help the grave look its best.
Would be interested if anyone else has any thoughts on grave etiquette?
