I know 'ware bist gwan' - still say it meself but I'm stuck on 'Shackutts' .

Hi Linda,
Long time since I thought about the dialect but an Uncle of mine from`ambra` used to say, on meeting you, - `ware bist gwan shackutts`. I knew what he meant - do you?

There is an interesting article in the Oxford Times dated 8 April regarding Stonesfield dialect. Page 13 - the Chris Koenig column.
Linda (Them from Stunsfield speaks same as us from 'ambra !)
