Hello Jacki,Just been browsing..found your posting..
My Gt Gr.Fathers 1st Wife was ANN HOUNSLOW1819-1858 (Think her parents Samuel 1794- & Martha ...have problem tracing her but have not really had time to seriously research.)
Would be pleased to hear from you in any connection with the Hounslows./ Ann MD Thomas Hunt 1816-1891 lived Stonesfield.
Welcome!! - thanks for joining the site, that’s great - and I'm pleased you like it, thanks for the kind words!
Yes, Hounslow, similarly to Oliver, Griffin and a number of others is certainly a name that is found a lot, and back for many years, when seacrhing through the Stonesfield transcripts isn't it - I've certainly come across a handful of Oliver & Hounslow links already and I'm sure there will be more. So, please do check in regularly and hopefully the site will be of help at somepoint somewhere in your research. Thanks again,Shane
I am a by-product of this Oliver family tree, as my distant family were Hounslow's. Jane Hounslow married James Oliver in 1786, at Stonesfield. The Hounslow's seem to have been popular at the church - having held jobs within the church for many years. If there are any more Hounslow / Oliver links I would be glad to hear of them. I think Shayne has done a marvellous job with this site.
